OH, PRETTY WOMAN - To celebrate the life of Roy Orbison, who passed on December 6, 1988, Mark played this huge hit in the third set.

I WANT YOU - To mark the recording of five tunes this week in 1962 for his second Columbia album, Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, Mark played this song in set number 4.

A WALKIN' MIRACLE - Mark played this song by a Camp LeJeune group of Marines in Set 5, to mark the birthday on December 6th of songwriter Hugo Peretti.

THE WORD - To remember the memory of John Lennon, Mark played The Weeklings' cover of this Beatles' song which had John on lead vocal.

LOSING MY RELIGION - For Set 7, to celebrate the birthday of Peter Buck, Mark chose to play R.E.M.'s huge hit.

LOVE TO BURN - Mark played this sizzling song performed by Etta James written by Dobie Gray (who passed this week in 2011) in Set 8. 


THANKS to everyone who bid on Mark's memorabilia in the Julien's auction in November, and congratulations to the winners! We accidentally packed some acetates so they went to Hawaii instead of Julien's. We'll have Ryeland Allison transfer them after the holidays, so keep an eye on this website for news on their posting.
