This weekend we're celebrating Father's Day with songs devoted to the guys.

Mark and his Dad, who really should have been born a Mountain Man in the 1800s, in Idaho.
OH MAN! - Mark opened the show with a band he's just discovered - and he absolutely loves the entire album. LOUIE GO HOME - Mark played the second, Midnight Ride version of this song that he wrote as a followup to LOUIE LOUIE. It's just one of the early Raider nuggets that he'll perform on next years Underground Garage Cruise - backed by The Grip Weeds.

PAPA DON'T TAKE NO MESS - James Brown was featured in the fourth set, and Mark told the story of how his music was rejected for the Hell Up In Harlem Movie and the "honor" instead went to Edwin Starr. But the soundtrack wasn't promoted, and it stiffed, while James put his submitted music out on his PAYBACK album - and had a hit!

OH! TO BE A MAN - The Raiders were featured in Set 6, with this autobiographical song that Mark wrote for the SPIRIT OF '67 album. We have 10 copies left, and the out of print album will soon be gone. You can get one of the last copies, personally autographed to you, right HERE.

A PIRATE LOOKS AT FORTY - Mark closed the show with Jimmy Buffett's look back on life. Years later, he expanded the concept into the autobiographical book A PIRATE LOOKS AT FIFTY.
