JULY 20 SHOW

SHOW PLAYLIST

This Week's
"DEEP DIVE"

MARK'S PICKS
This weekend, and Mark will play two hours of some of his favorite American music - and you might just see an underlying theme here, since he spent the last week playing doctor (not to mention chef) to his wife Deb, who ruptured her hamstring last Saturday while wrestling with a chaise lounge under construction...

ANGELS OF MERCY - Mark opened the show with the Raiders and a song from the unreleased "Lost Album". He managed to convince Columbia Records to let it escape from vault when he was working on the Legend CD compilation. [Note: there is ONE sealed copy of the out of print 3-CD set available from Mark, personally autographed to you. It's not listed in the store. If you're interested, please send a note via the contact page and we'll get you the details.]

The original song is in the first video below; the second one is the instrumental track only with no vocals (using AI)

SHY BOY - Mark opened the second set with this tune by the artist/deejay whose show precedes his, Palmyra Delran. It's his favorite from her newly reissued album, You Are What You Absorb. Details HERE:

HAWAII - The third set included this Beach Boys tune, which reminds Mark of the years he lived on Maui. Video below is from a live show in San Francisco in 1963.
