Mark has moved to Hawaii, and as hinted earlier, has consigned some of his rarest memorabilia to a prestigious auction house. Julien's has put together a huge rock and roll memorabilia auction, including 69 lots from Mark.
It features many Raider acetates (with digital transfers done by Keith Allison's son Ryeland and sent to your email address, with the physical material sent from Julien's in Los Angeles), stage apparel, a guitar, a flute and trumpet used on stage in the early 60s, the tambourine used on the recording of Kicks, and many other goodies, including the desk from Cielo Drive where Mark wrote the lyrics to many of the Raiders' hits and dozens of album tracks. Terry Melcher owned the desk and later gave it to his mom Doris Day, so it has an amazing provenance.
Bidding has just opened online, and culminates with a live auction in Nashville on November 20th. Check out all 69 lots of Mark's memorabilia HERE.
BONUS OFFER: Should you purchase any item from Julian's that is paper-based, i.e. unframed photos, contracts, flyers, or other paper memorabilia, Mark will be happy to sign them to you. We'll make arrangements to have you ship it to us in Hawaii (insurance is your responsibility) and send it back. Because some lots contain a large amount of individual items, there's a limit of 5 items PER LOT purchased for this offer.
Below is detailed information about the twelve lots featuring apparel.
