Looking For Shelter

Looking For Shelter was recorded in Memphis, TN in the fall of 1989.
While it's billed as a Mark Lindsay project, it truly is a Michael Bradley project
as well. Michael, as some of you may know, was a lead singer in Paul Revere
and the Raiders during the early 80's, so this project has the distinction of
being the only one currently released involving two former lead singers for
the Raiders.

Mark and Michael both brought song ideas to the table that fall, and during
a period of time that included the big San Francisco earthquake and the fall
of the Berlin Wall, they wrote and produced the project that we are now releasing.

Stevie Ray Vaughn's vibes were still in the room at Kiva Recording Studio
(now House of Blues Studio) when Mark, Michael, and company trooped in and
began the actual recording. Engineering was done by Greg Archilla,
who went on to work with Matchbox 20 and Neil Young.

The album was never sold to a label , but Mark and Michael continued to
write and work together. Shortly after Desert S
torm began in 1990, they were
both moved by the thought of soldiers going off to war and missing their
loved ones, so they got together down in Florida and wrote Heaven Is Where
You Are, later recorded at Full Sail Studio. The same writing session produced
My Perfect World and other tunes.

Shelter is being offered with two options:

• As long as supplies last, with a copy of the original collectible CD produced for "label-shopping" in 1990 -- shipping to you immediately, PLUS a copy of the

~ early demo of Shelter recorded by Mark at ex-Raider Freddy Weller's
home studio, with Freddy playing guitar.

It should be noted that the original CD is DDD (all digital); when Mark
remastered the project, he used an analog 2-track half-inch tape
master that he had recorded simultaneously with the original digital master.
The result is that the 2003 CD has a "warmer" sound than the 1990 CD.
There are also a few minor editing differences between the two CD's, and a huge difference in Kicks, which now has additional keyboard work.
