I WANT MY MUSIC TV
The 60s was the Golden Era of music on television, with dozens of hours each week devoted to live or lip-synched musical performances.
Mark will feature two hours of the best AMERICAN music that was played
on nine of the most popular television programs.

Picture
(THEME FROM) THE MONKEES - Mark kicked off the show with the boys and the song that introduced their brand new TV show, which debuted 60 years ago today.

Picture

OO POO PAH DOO - Mark played the Raiders to open the first set, since they performed this tune on Hullabaloo on September 21, 1965, with Mark singing live to track.

Picture

BREAK ON THROUGH (TO THE OTHER SIDE) - Mark played the Doors in the second set, since their very first TV appearance was on Shebang. A very young Casey Kasem hosted the Dick Clark produced show.

PRETTY THING (YOU'RE OUT OF SIGHT) - Mark selected this Tommy Boyce solo single for Set 3, which he performed on The Lloyd Thaxton Show.

SHAKE - Mark played this Shadows of Knight song in set number 4, which they performed on Cleveland's Upbeat show.

COME SEE ABOUT ME -  Mark played this Supremes hit in Set 5, which they sang on the pilot of Dick Clark's Where The Action Is.

FOR PETE'S SAKE - Mark closed the show with the Monkees TV Show closing theme, as we celebrated the 60th anniversary of the show's debut.

THANKS to everyone who bid on Mark's memorabilia in the Julien's auction in November, and congratulations to the winners! We accidentally packed some acetates so they went to Hawaii instead of Julien's. We'll have Ryeland Allison transfer them after the holidays, so keep an eye on this website for news on their posting.
