THIS
 WEEK'S
 "DEEP DIVE"

Him or Me and The Wrecking Crew - On this week's show, Mark listed the Wrecking Crew members who played on this song from the Raiders' 1967 REVOLUTION album. Here they are, in case you couldn't write it down fast enough!

3 drummers - Hal Blaine, Jim Gordon, and Jim Keltner
4 rhythm guitar players - Glen Campbell, Al Casey, Ry Cooder, and not a member, but a great picker - future Raider, Keith Allison
2 lead guitar players - Louie Shelton and Jerry Cole
1 bass player - Joe Osborne

Raider Trivia: Keith Allison named his son Ryeland after Ry Cooder

Here's a clip of Mark and the Raiders performing the song on a Memphis weekly teen show when they were in town for a gig - it's George Klein's Talent Party on WHBQ.

And here's a live version from 1969

Have you seen the documentary on the Wrecking Crew?
