This week, as we bring you the first show of the Fall season,

YOU WERE WRONG - Mark kicked off the show with the Raiders' version of this song from a late 1964 session at Columbia Records produced by Bruce Johnston. It didn't make it to the Here They Come album released early the next year, but Bob Irwin at Sundazed pulled it out of the CBS vaults when he put together the Mojo Workout double CD set in 2000. It's the only Raider record with shared lead vocals between Mark and Drake Levin.
The song was written by Texas bluesman Z.Z. Hill. Here's the Raiders' version, plus ZZ's original from 1963.

PALMYRA DELRAN AND THE DOPPEL GANG - Palmyra's TRASH POP TREASURES show precedes AMERICAN REVOLUTION in the Underground Garage, so make sure you catch it! Here's Palmyra and her band with Walk Away, a tune Mark played in the fourth set today.

THESE ARE BAD TIMES (FOR ME AND MY BABY) - Mark ended the show with this early Raider song produced by Terry Melcher in 1965 for the Here They Come album. That's Terry Melcher on backgrounds and harmony with Mark. The song was written by two original members of the Grass Roots, Steve Barri and P.F. Sloan, and their group released it in 1966. Here's the Raiders' version, plus a very early incarnation of the Grass Roots performing the song on Where The Action Is.
