ANGELS OF MERCY - Mark opened the second set with The Raiders and this song, dedicated to our healthcare heroes, recorded for the Raiders' unreleased Columbia Records album that has become known as "The Lost Album."

I"LL BE THERE FOR YOU - Mark included this FRIENDS theme in the second set as a tribute to actor Matthew Perry, who passed away recently. Despite his own struggles, he tried to help others with their own substance abuse issues. #Hero

ORANGE CRUSH - Mark closed the second set with this R.E.M. song about the impact of the toxic defoliant used in the VietNam War, Agent Orange.

YOU'VE GOT A FRIEND - Mark closed the third set with the title song from his third solo album, and talked about his friendship with Gloria Stavers of 16 Magazine, who helped a shy geeky kid navigate his newfound life - and probably saved it at least a couple of times...

THE ROAD I'M ON (GLORIA) - Mark asked Dion about Gloria Stavers during their interview. Dion was one of the earliest "Teen Idols" and, like Mark, was featured in the YOUR FAVE RAVE book, which is a tribute to Gloria and 16 Magazine. When their relationship ended, Dion wrote this song about Gloria in 1964.

THE POWER OF PRAYER - Mark closed the fifth set with the Bruce Springsteen, and how he was a surprise guest of John Mellencamp at this year's benefit for THE BOB WOODDRUFF FOUNDATION, which helps our wounded veterans. He also told the story of Bruce's appearance at an earlier event, where he auctioned off 2 prize packages including lasagna dinner at his house, for $300,000 each. #Rock&RollHero

JEFFREY FOSKETT - Mark closed Set 6 with one of his heroes, and his version of I LIVE FOR THE SUN, and talked about the innate goodness of a guy who is a true friend to those around him. He mentioned the new John Stamos autobiography, where John talks at length about what Jeffrey did for him. There's a lot of music info in here, and Mark strongly urges you to get the audio version of the book, read by John, since his voice adds so much dimension to his story. And it's worth it just to hear him imitate the voice of Mike Love! More info HERE.

Jeffrey was diagnosed with stage 4 thyroid cancer and given months to live, and his first operation accidentally nicked one of his vocal cords. Four years later, with the help of the doctors at M.D. Anderson, he's still with us, spreading love and goodness. #Rock&RollHeroes
