With all the buzz about the Northern Lights this week, we thought we'd keep our ears in the heavens on this episode of the show.
And on today's show, Mark Lindsay will bring you two hours of

LOST IN SPACE - Mark opened the second set with Mickey Leigh's Mutated Music. Wonder what Irwin Allen, creator of the LOST IN SPACE TV series, would think of it?

I GET AROUND / I ORBIT AROUND - Mark closed the second set with the Beach Boys, which was broadcast as a wakeup call to the astronauts, and talked about the parody version of the song done by the all-astronaut band MAX-Q. Here's a clip of the band, which was formed as a way to help crew morale after the Challenger accident.

I.S.S. BABY - You might be surprised to know that NASA has an official rap video - dedicated to the International Space Station!

PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME - Mark played this Fats Domino song, which was broadcast as the wakeup call to the Space Shuttle Atlantis on the morning they were undocking from the Russian MIR Space Station. You can see Atlantis if you visit the Kennedy Space Center - which Mark can tell you from experience is a lot of fun! Here's Fats with an extended live version of the song.

ORBIT (THE SPY) - When the Russians launched Sputnik in 1957, Mark's interest in space soared to new heights. And when it came to writing a song for the Raiders' very first single, he drew on that fascination, and this is the result. That's Mark playing sax - including the wild opening notes.
